Termux-YTD : Download Youtube Videos with Termux

What is Termux-YTD?

Nowadays, we use tools like Vidmate, Snaptube, Tubemate, etc. to download YouTube videos on our Phone. Those apps take some extra space on your phone as well as they show you a lot of annoying ads. Termux-YTD is a Tool That will allow you to download any YouTube Video using Your termux app and since you are reading this post that means you have already installed termux on your phone. 

Termux-YTD is created by me, you can check out the GitHub Project here@ khansaad1275/Termux-YTD . By installing this tool you can turn your termux into a YouTube downloader as well as you can do your normal work too. This script works faster than all the other tools and gives you the choice to download Multiple formats. You can also download in mp3 format. Just follow the given steps below to install the Termux-YTD in your termux app.

Install Termux-YTD:

Step 1:

To download YouTube videos we need to Download the Termux-YTD project from GitHub. We also have to install git to clone the repo from the GitHub, lastly we will also need to update some stuff. I don't want to waste your time, so I Combined all the commands in Single Big Command. Just copy and paste the below command in termux.

apt update && apt upgrade && cd && pkg install git -y && git clone https://github.com/khansaad1275/Termux-YTD/ && cd Termux-YTD && bash install.sh

please Allow the storage permission if you didn't already have.

Now Everything is perfectly set up just use the below method to download video from Youtube.

How To Download Videos with Termux.

Now everything is set up properly, you just have to do 2 simple tiny steps to download any video from Youtube.

Step1:

Open youtube and select any Video you wanna download, Now you just have to press on the Share button of the video you want to download (You can also share Video Without opening then).

Now Your Phone will give you a list of apps where you can share the Video. Just Select Termux.

Step2 :

Now you will see the list of formats and select one which is suitable for you and press enter and the downloading will start. For example : if you wanna download an mp3 version of the video then you just have to type 1 and press Enter to download it.

You will find all videos in your Youtube folder in your Internal storage.

Conclusion:

I have made this post short because this post is just to enable the downloading feature of Termux. I have combined everything in a single command so that you don't have to do multiple copy-pasts.
